"They Renamed Our Village, Turned Our Church Into A Mosque" – Plateau Community Leader Accuses Bandits of Erasing Heritage
A community leader from Plateau State’s Bokkos LGA, Amos Gyang, has revealed how Fulani bandits invaded his village, killed over 10 people, and forced residents to flee.
According to Gyang, the attackers, who previously lived peacefully with the community took over their ancestral land, renamed the village, and converted the local church into a mosque.
He lamented that displaced residents now live in IDP camps or beg to survive, while government appeals have gone unanswered.
